The title mislead me a bit becuase I was hoping for a book that would giveadvice on how to pay down debt or deal with hig interest loans and credit cards. I realized right away that it's actually a book that gives very specific advice to those who are already faced with tons of harrasing phone calls and letters from debt collection and how to fight that within that system. This book could be extremely helpful for people who are very far behind on there payments and are looking for the best ways to use the laws concerning debt collection to help them avoid losing their assets and home. I found it enlightening and informative. Personally it doesn't apply to the situation I'm in, but I recommend it for those seeking to understand the process of fighting collection agencies.Product details

Fortunately I am no longer in debt, however I spent many years buried in debt. (A piece of advice, you can't dig your relatives out of debt. They have to do that themselves. They will drag you down with them if you let them. Don't let them.)
This book offers some very practical advice, stating a number of things that are not always apparent without the benefit of hindsight. Please listen carefully and follow this advice faithfully. I would have benefitted greatly if I had this information a few years ago.
The author is not an attorney, but does quote many good resources. It is very enlightening to see the way the law is worded. There is some very careful and detailed information if you want to act as your own attorney. However, you should really hire a good attorney, and pay close attention to what this book says about debt collectors masquerading as attorneys.
In my opinion this is one of the wisest purchases you could possibly make for yourself. Good Luck!

Based on the snippet of content given for the , I really expected more tactics and advice. What I got was just a little of that, and then pages and pages of legal documents.
The "Break the Chain" advice is great. The "One Commandment" is solid.
In my opinion, the author could have referenced or given links to the legal documents, and given us more advice and strategies. This is a very short book and 75% of it isn't of use to me at all.
